Bhubaneswar, Sep 23: Governor Murlidhar C Bhandare on Saturday called upon medical practitioners across fields like allopathy, homeopathy, ayurveda and other forms of alternative medicine to work unitedly towards checking the spread of rheumatism in Orissa, as the situation in the State was poor enough.

Inaugurating the third East Zone Conference of the Indian Rheumatology Association, organised by Orissa State Branch, the Governor said several misconceptions on the disease prevailed in the community as a result of which people neglected the condition at the initial stages.
