Allocation for health care sector raised
Government News No Comments »Vijayawada: Minister of State for Health Panabaka Lakshmi said, the government has raised its allocation for health care from two per cent to three per cent of GDP to fulfill its commitments under the Common Minimum Programme.
Participating as the chief guest in a national seminar on “Homeopathy and Research Trends” at Gudivada town in Krishna district, she said the government launched National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) and allotted Rs 11,000 crores in this year’s budget to provide better health care in rural areas.
The government has allotted Rs 564 crores for traditional health care systems, Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha and Homeo (AYUSH).
